Davis Dyslexia Post-graduate Licensing Training

Our professional training is rooted in our philosophy of embracing neurodiversity, respecting every individual, nurturing growth, and building on strengths to overcome challenges.


This training stream is for licensed Davis Dyslexia Facilitators who are keen to extend their practice and become a licensed Davis Autism and Concepts for Life Facilitator. This in-depth training will equip you to create inspiring change for individuals with autism, as well as for individuals with executive functioning challenges.


The Post-graduate Licensing Training is a comprehensive training stream that takes into account the existing level of knowledge and expertise you already possess as a licensed Davis Dyslexia Facilitator.


This training pathway builds on your existing skill set, adding the detailed knowledge, experience and skills required to become a licensed Davis Autism and Concepts for Life Facilitator. As a trainee, you will participate in a practical workshop, complete written assignments and work with individuals during practicums, under the supportive guidance of your personal supervisor.

​Training Structure

Step 1:  Workshop

There are two workshop options available for trainees in this training stream:

  • Option 1: Davis Life Concepts for Autism Workshop
    Introduction to the Core Principles and Concepts of the Davis Autism Approach  (5 days)
    Followed by specialized sessions covering theory and methods (1 day)

  • Option 2: Nurturing the Seed of Genius Workshop (5 days)
    Introduction to the Core Principles and Concepts of the Davis Autism Approach

Step 2:  Field Assignment One 

Practice concepts and tools for self (40-60 hours)

Cost USD $900


Step 3:  Practicum 2

Conduct two full Davis Autism Approach programs with two autistic individuals (Up to 200 hours)

Cost USD $1500


Step 4: Final Assignment

Completion of ongoing self-assessment and Articulation Questions (10 hours)

Cost USD $300

Annual license fee:  USD $500 for the first year, USD $750 thereafter
Annual renewal criteria: Client list and completed research questionnaires along with one case report per annum for the first two years of licensing, followed by periodic submissions of case reports for quality assurance, as requested by the Ron Davis Autism Foundation.   

Professional development requirement:  All licensed Davis Facilitators are expected to keep up to date with current developments in autism and undergo professional development annually. All Facilitators are required to attend a Davis Autism workshop on working with non-verbal autistics and the very young within two years of licensing.
